Electrical Equipment Must Be Approved Before Use
Electrical equipment must be approved before it can be legally put into service in Ontario. Where equipment does not already carry a recognized certification mark, a field evaluation to the SPE-1000 code is carried out on site, and an approval label is applied to the unit.
